Terms / Privacy / Commercial disclosure
These Terms of Service (the "Terms") set forth the conditions under which Shot Planner (the "Service") is provided and govern the rights and obligations between the operator of the Service (the "Operator") and its users. Anyone using the Service is deemed to have agreed to these Terms.
Article 1 (Application)
These Terms apply to all relationships between users and the Operator concerning use of the Service.
Article 2 (Registration)
- The Service is established when a prospective user agrees to these Terms, applies for registration in the prescribed manner and is approved by the Operator.
- The Operator may decline to approve a registration when the applicant:
- has submitted false information;
- has previously been subject to suspension for violation of these Terms; or
- is otherwise deemed inappropriate by the Operator.
Article 3 (Account management)
- Users manage their account credentials (email, authentication information) at their own responsibility and may not transfer, lend or share them with any third party.
- When using external authentication (e.g. Google) for sign-up, users agree to do so at their own responsibility under the terms of those services.
- The Operator bears no responsibility for losses arising from insufficient account management or third-party use.
Article 4 (Fees and payment)
- The Service offers a free plan (Free) and paid plans (Pro, etc.). Fees and plan details are displayed within the Service.
- Paid plans are processed via the Operator's designated payment processor (Stripe, Inc.). By completing payment, users are deemed to have agreed to that processor's terms.
- Paid plans renew automatically (monthly or annually depending on plan) unless cancelled before the renewal date, triggering payment obligations.
- If payment fails at renewal, the Operator may immediately suspend the paid plan. The Operator bears no responsibility for resulting losses.
- Cancellation may be performed at any time from the Service's settings (customer portal). Paid features remain available until the end of the current billing period.
- Due to the nature of the Service, refunds (including prorated refunds for mid-period cancellation) are not provided in principle.
Article 5 (Prohibited activities)
Users may not engage in the following:
- Acts that violate laws or public order and morals;
- Acts related to criminal activity or provision of benefits to anti-social forces;
- Impersonation;
- Collection of others' personal information by any means;
- Infringement of intellectual property, likeness, privacy, reputation or other rights of the Operator or third parties;

- Direct, repeated access to API servers outside the features provided by the Service;
- Deliberately interfering with the Service's servers or networks;

- Any other act the Operator deems inappropriate.
If the Operator determines a user has engaged in any of the above, it may delete the relevant content, suspend or delete the user's account or take other measures, with no obligation to disclose its reasons.
Article 6 (Content)
- Copyright in content created or posted by users on the Service ("User Content") remains with the user.
- Users grant the Operator a royalty-free license to reproduce, display and distribute User Content as necessary for provision, improvement and promotion of the Service.
- Users warrant that their User Content does not infringe any third party's rights.
Article 7 (AI-generated output)
The Service uses external large language models to generate placement suggestions. The Operator does not warrant the accuracy, usefulness or safety of generated output. Use of generated output is at the user's own risk.

- Users may delete their account at any time via the prescribed procedure.
- After account deletion, content and account-linked data (including billing history and receipts) become inaccessible. No refund is provided for paid plans.
- The Operator bears no responsibility for losses or disadvantages resulting from account deletion.
Article 9 (Suspension of Service)
The Operator may suspend the Service in whole or in part without prior notice in the event of maintenance, system failure, suspension of external services or other unavoidable circumstances.
Article 10 (Disclaimer)
- The Service is provided as-is. The Operator does not warrant, expressly or implicitly, that the Service is free from defects in fact or law.
- The Operator bears no responsibility for damages arising from use of the Service, except for cases of willful misconduct or gross negligence.
- Where the Operator owes damages to a user qualifying as a consumer under Japanese Consumer Contract Law, liability is capped at the fees received from that user in the preceding one month.
